Important Security Notice: Scam Emails Impersonating Wix Partners

We want to make you aware of a recent increase in scam emails circulating across the web industry, including messages impersonating Wix, website partners, or web professionals.

We’ve recently identified impersonation emails that misuse our name and falsely suggest partnerships or affiliations that do not exist. Please disregard and delete any message that looks similar to this or requests action you were not expecting.

These emails are designed to create urgency and fear. They often claim that your website is “at risk,” “non-compliant,” or about to be taken offline unless immediate action is taken.

Please know this clearly: Your website is not at risk, and neither Wix nor our studio will ever contact you this way.

What to Watch Out For

If you receive an email that:

  • Claims your Wix site will be shut down or removed

  • Mentions urgent “compliance checks,” “security audits,” or “license verification”

  • Pressures you to click a link, fill out a form, or send payment

  • Comes from an unfamiliar or generic email address

…it is almost certainly fraudulent.

Wix does not take websites offline via email warnings, and we do not conduct surprise audits or urgent reviews without prior discussion.

How We Communicate With You

Any legitimate communication from our studio will always:

  • Come from our official email address

  • Be discussed openly, calmly, and transparently

  • Never pressure you into immediate action or payment

  • Often include a real conversation (email, call, or Zoom)

If something feels off, it probably is.

What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email

  • Do not click links or download attachments

  • Do not reply or provide any information

  • Delete the message or mark it as spam

  • If unsure, forward it to us and we’ll happily verify it for you

If you believe you may have interacted with a scam message, we recommend updating your passwords immediately and enabling two-factor authentication wherever possible.

Your Peace of Mind Matters

Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, especially with AI-generated emails that look convincing at first glance. Awareness is your best protection, and you’re never expected to navigate this alone.

If you ever receive a message that feels unusual, urgent, or out of character, reach out to us directly. We’re always happy to confirm whether something is legitimate.

Thank you, as always, for trusting us with your website and your business.

Your security and confidence online are important to us.
